Key Responsibilities:
1.Apply his/her expertise and experience in molecular biology, protein chemistry and structure biology to provide high-quality proteins to other drug-discovery functions, including disease biology, HTS and Structure Biology for assay development, biochemical and biophysical characterization.
2.Be proficient to use bioinformatic genetic data analysis, protein structure-function studies to design protein constructs for optimized protein expression in various expression systems, preferably proficient in using insect cells, mammalian cell expression systems.
3.Be result-oriented, be able to independently design and execute the experiments; maintain accurate laboratory records on research data and operational details.
4.As a biochemist, capable of integration of various molecular biology, biochemical, biophysical characterization tools for drug target characterization.
5.Be a good team-player, willing to collaborate, actively communicate and eagerly learn new technologies.

Qualification
Minimal Requirement:
A Ph.D degree in the fields of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Structural Biology, Molecular Biology or any related fields.
Preferred to have:
1). Experiences with structure determination techniques, including x-ray crystallography, cyro-EM or NMR is preferred.
2). Extensive hands-on experiences in molecular biology techniques, recombinant protein production in various expression systems.
3). An in-depth knowledge on protein biochemistry and biophysics is a must. Hands-on experiences in biophysical characterization techniques, including SPR, MST, DLS, DSP is a plus.
4). Experience with molecular modeling, protein structure determination software, such as Phenix, COOT, CCP4, RELION, ability to use common structural visualization tools, including Pymol, for sharing structural information and structure analysis, is a plus.
